Six in a Row for St. Andrew’s

St. Andrew’s School in Boca Raton, Florida proved that they are a force to be reckoned with after another crushing victory on March 6 against American Heritage School.  The 23-1 victory for St. Andrew’s was the sixth consecutive win for the reigning Florida state champions, earning them a place at 45th in the Digital Sports Lacrosse Rankings.

In their first six games, St. Andrew’s has not just won; they have dominated.  So far, St. Andrew’s have held the opposing offenses to two goals or less in three of the six games, and have never let in more than eight goals in one game.  Along with their great defense, St. Andrew’s is a goal scoring threat, scoring 99 goals while only allowing 22 goals against, giving them a plus 77 goal difference.

At this rate, St. Andrew’s stands a good chance at making their way up the rankings.  They are playing top of the line lacrosse on both sides of the ball.  The mixture of their offensive ability and defensive strength has so far been unstoppable.

They will be tested with three games in six days, the final game being a face off against Boys’ Latin, one of the top programs in the country.  It won’t be an easy three games, but if St. Andrew’s can continue to thrive both offensively and defensively, they will have a strong chance to work their way to the top of the rankings table.
